These packages provide the opportunity to discover or rediscover skiing and snowboarding at a bargain price. Nowdays, thanks to the latest gear like shaped skis, it's easier than ever to learn to ski. Why don't you ask your friends to join you? After all, the more the merrier! These programs, designed by the Canadian Ski Council in conjunction with the Quebec Ski Areas Association (ASSQ) and the National Snow Industries Association, are offered at many ski areas in Quebec. The best-loved family ski station in the Laurentians is located in Val-Morin, less than one hour from Montreal! Thanks to its south-facing slopes, Belle Neige is bathed in bright sunlight throughout the day! Located in the Laurentian “snowbelt,” the station is able to benefit from the region’s abundant snowfall. What’s more, technically advanced snowmaking facilities combined with careful trail grooming ensures excellent snow conditions throughout the season, which often starts as early as the end of November. At Belle Neige, there are areas to suit all family members, regardless of age! Toddlers can take their first runs in the safety of the fenced-in beginner’s park, with its magic carpet ride. Once they find their feet, beginners can quickly go up onto the mountain itself, which offers a number of friendly trails that they can take pleasure in going down “all by themselves!” They’ll have fun exploring different areas on the mountain like the “Sentier des Toutous” which is decorated with hundreds of dolls and teddy bears in the trees. They will also marvel at the new “Petit Poucet Forest,” in which they can have fun discovering Perrault’s celebrated fairytale as they wander past the characters from the story in a special setting. At Belle Neige, all trails converge at the same point, down near the Chalet des Skieurs. Older children (and their parents!) will be happy to be able to ski alone on whatever trails they prefer, knowing they will meet safely down at the bottom again. Teens can enjoy a snowpark filled with “boxes,” “rails” and jumps!!! This enclosed area, swings to its own music system and is served by its own lift so there is no need to climb back up to the jumps again on foot! As for the adults, they will no doubt enjoy the numerous intermediate and expert trails spread around the mountain. As for experts, they can take on the challenge of the Dynamique, a double black diamond trail, or the Orignal, a testing trail running through the woods! And should anyone need a rest between all these runs, there is always the Refuge, located at the top of the mountain, where one can warm up a little in cooler weather or enjoy a sunbath on its large outdoor terrace! Belle Neige is the ideal place to learn to ski or perfect your technique. Our ski school, with its multitude of qualified instructors, is particularly well-known for its children’s lessons. The well-known instructors in rabbit costumes, emblems of the “Bouts d’Choux” program are now at Belle Neige. In this unique program, for children aged 3 and 4, the student/instructor ratio is 2/1 for beginners and 3/1 for children already able to ski, which means that every child can get the right amount of attention required from the instructor. In addition, for older children, the ski school offers a range of programs adapted to the students’ age and tastes. A number of special programs (Club Élite, mini-moguls, introduction to competition) are also offered to those who wish to explore other more advanced skiing techniques. Skiers wishing to advance in a more competitive environment can apply for membership of our Racing Club or Moguls Club. For anyone wishing to get more personalized help from an instructor, the Belle Neige Ski School also offers private or semi-private lessons every day. There are a number of flexible packages which will allow you to find just the right solution to your own particular needs. Belle Neige is a station with lots happening! There are numerous activities throughout the season, including our opening day, “Belle Neige en fête”, CKOI day, Mondays at $ 15 ,” to mention just a few. Belle Neige’s most famous regular activity nevertheless remains its Ladies’ day on Wednesdays. Every Wednesday for over 25 years, the ladies turn out in number at Belle Neige. They can take advantage of an unbeatable $7 lift ticket for the day, and pay the same nominal sum for lessons, ski rentals, lunch and the daycare. Men are also welcome to come on the same day and take advantage of other special discounts. So it’s an excellent way of having fun while contributing to a very worthwhile cause at the same time.
